School-Based Health Center Advisory Committee

The Oregon School-Based Health Alliance is excited to announce the formation of a School-Based Health Center Advisory Committee to help guide and inform the OSBHA work focus and priorities. We want to connect with and better understand the needs and wants of SBHCs in Oregon. We invited anyone working in a school-based health center to apply to join the committee and have recently selected our committee.

The committee will represent rural, suburban and urban school-based health centers and will include members who work in a variety of SBHC positions, such as providers, youth advisory council coordinators, and medical assistants. Quarterly meetings will be held,  with a focus on a specific topic.  Committee members will review and discuss needs int he field and how OSBHA may be able to help meet those needs; identify and highlight what SBHCs do well; identify and address issues that make it hard for SBHCs to meet their goals; explore how SBHCs can add value to the evolving health care system in Oregon

OSBHA is committed to the following goals for this committee:
  • Review and discuss needs in the field and how OSBHA may be able to help meet those needs;
  • Identify and highlight what SBHCs do well;
  • Identify and address issues that make it hard for SBHCs to meet their goals;
