National Policy Learning Collaborative

You are here

In collaboration with the School-Based Health Alliance (SBHA) and other state affiliates, OSBHA is participating in a multi-state policy learning collaborative for public and private funders. The goal of this collaborative is to advance policies that support and value the full integration of school health care within emerging organizational and financial models to achieve high-quality, cost-effective, population focused health improvements and outcomes.

Projected Outcomes

  • SBHCs will be fully engaged and actively participating in the implementation of local ACOs, medical home initiatives, health insurance exchanges, and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations.

  • State SBHC program offices and their respective Medicaid agencies will be aligned around mutual goals for improving health care quality and outcomes for children.

  • SBHCs are included in local health care redesign and system reform efforts.

  • The inclusion of SBHCs in ACO, Medicaid, and other payer networks will enhance access to care and improve quality markers for children and adolescents in their respective networks.
