OSBHA May Newsletter

You are here

In our May newsletter, we announce our Youth Advocate Conference. We're excited for this upcoming event and have provided more information below.

Youth ages 14-22 please come join us in sharing your school-based health experiences and needs to receive a $20 gift card and inform how the needs of your community will be addressed! Please register here or by searching "Youth Advocates Conference," on Eventbrite.

With marginalized youth voices in mind, the Oregon School-Based Health Alliance is hosting the Youth Advocate Conference fo
r youth ages 14-22, May 12th from 4pm-6pm on Google Meet. This conference is aimed to bridge the gap between Oregon’s marginalized youth from across the state

and other school-based health center stakeholders through providing a space that uplifts youth voice and personal experience.

Attendees will provide honest and confidential feedback about SBHCs through a series of questions and prompted dialogue in caucus spaces. This information will then be used to create a report that will inform local, state, and public policy decision-makers. Through this report, stakeholders gain access to analyzed and interpreted data provided by the identified priority populations of youth across the state. This will allow fo
r us to clearly identify cultural needs.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could share the opportunity with all youth you are in community with. This conference will help stakeholders to understand the school-based health needs of youth and empower them to share their personal experience beyond the data.
