The Oregon School-Based Health Alliance is Seeking a Trauma Informed Schools Intern.

Internship, 20-hours per week
Summary: OSBHA will be providing technical assistance to two schools as they create a trauma informed culture, and is seeking an intern to provide project support for an average of 20 hours per week.

- Providing professional development and ongoing support for all staff so that they understand the effects of trauma and how to mitigate them.
- Examining and modifying school policies, practices, and environments so they are trauma-informed.
- Coordinating services for impacted students within the school and outside of the school with community partners.
Description, Essential Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Provide high level support for meetings with complex information. This includes drafting agendas, designing process documents, attending meetings, and documenting and synthesizing complex conversations and concepts.
- Help plan and provide input into project structure development.
- Research concepts and resources related to the project.
- Assist with grant writing and report development.
Qualifications/Competencies:
The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following qualifications necessary to perform job tasks.- High level organization and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to think at a systems level and with attention to detail.
- Self-motivating, ability to take initiative and communicate ideas, issues, and questions clearly to supervisor.
- Solid research skills, detail oriented.
- Experience working in a school.
- An understanding of the concept of ACES and Trauma Informed Care.
- Experience in systems change/change management processes.
- Background or Education in Public Health, Social Work, Education, Trauma Informed Care or similar field. Some graduate level experience preferred.
