We're Hiring Two Youth Health Advocates (Youth Internships)

You are here

The Oregon School-Based Health Alliance is looking for two Youth Health Advocates enrolled in either high school (must be 16 years or older) or college. We’d love to talk with you if you are excited about supporting our mission of strengthening and sustaining school-based health services and systems. The Youth Health Advocate will be supported by our Youth Engagement Specialist to co-facilitate listening sessions within the community and deliver presentations to schools to promote awareness of human papillomavirus (HPV).
OSBHA’s organization’s vision is for all children and youth to be healthy, learning, and thriving; we cannot achieve this vision until systemic racism, anti-blackness, and white supremacy have been dismantled. OSBHA has a goal to actively engage in practices that redistribute, share, and build power to change systems of inequity. The Youth Heath Advocate should have an awareness of, or an openness to learn, how racism and anti-Blackness harm communities, and a commitment to supporting youth with oppressed identities.

Please apply by Friday September 10, 2021 and use the subject line "Youth Health Advocate Position."
