Youth Blog: Accessing SBHCs in the Portland Metro Area During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, it can be hard to know what health resources are available to you but hopefully, this post will provide you with some information! 

Here are school-based health centers (SBHCs) currently open in the Portland metro area for physical and mental health services. There are other school-based health centers open that are not in the Portland metro area area, you can find a list of them here. Please make sure to call the SBHC before you go.

 
Multnomah County:

• Parkrose Student Health Center is the only SBHC open in Multnomah County. They are available for those ages 5-18 and are open Monday - Friday from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm. You need to call 503-988-3392 to schedule an appointment with them. 
• Although many SBHCs are closed during this time, there are still 7 health clinics in Multnomah County still open to the community. Link to Multnomah County health clinics.

Clackamas County:

• Milwaukie High School SBHC is currently open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30am to 4:00pm via phone or video conferencing, some visits may be in person. Please call 503-353-5847 ext. 0 to schedule an appointment with them. You can find more information on their Instagram @Milwaukieyac
• Rex Putnam, Oregon City, and Sandy High School SBHCs are currently open from Monday - Friday from 8am-3pm for phone appointments. Call 503-353-5884 to schedule.

 Washington County:

• Tualatin SBHC is currently open from 8:00am to 4:00pm for phone and video visits. Some in-person appointments are also happening if needed. Call 503-941-3180 to schedule.
• Tigard SBHC is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm for phone and video appointments. Some in-person appointments are also happening, but please call 503-431-5775 ahead of time to schedule. 
• Beaverton SBHC is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm for phone appointments. Some in-person appointments are also happening, but please call 503-356-3985 ahead of time to schedule. 
• Century SBHC is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm for phone appointments. Some in-person appointments are also happening, but please call 503-597-4580 ahead of time to schedule. 
• Forest Grove SBHC is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm for phone appointments. Some in-person appointments are also happening, but please call 503-359-4057 ahead of time to schedule. 

Sexual Health Resources: 

• Oregonians can also have free condoms delivered to their homes, link to condom distribution.
