Advocacy Day

February 26, 2025

Don’t hesistate, advocate!

The event will be fully  in-person this year in Salem at the First United Methodist Church of Salem’s Micah Building. Food is provided, as it is an all-day event with light breakfast options, a full lunch and some afternoon snacks for the ride home. There are transportation scholarships available for groups of youth who need support in getting to the event location.

The morning of the event will consist of speakers, networking, workshops, and presentations for youth to attend. Additionally, youth will be prepared for the day by practicing advocacy skills such as giving an elevator speech. In the afternoon, youth will have legislative meetings where they will speak with their legislators. There will also be time for networking with various organizations.

Registration is now open! If you are a School-Based Health coordinator in Oregon or a youth mentor and interested in bringing a group of youth to this year’s School Health Advocacy Day, please register below. This gives us a chance to plan for an estimated number of people, as well as provide you with materials and training to prepare for the event.  Please complete registration by February 13, 2025 at the latest.
