To center youth through the expansion of school health services that shatter health and education disparities, honor youth identities and voices, and prioritize their wellness and joy.

An Oregon in which youth are able to access the comprehensive and culturally-responsive healthcare services they need to be empowered, seen, and successful.

Our guiding principles

    Student health is influenced by many contributing factors. Health is in all things … and all things are in health! By fostering healthy environments, we can foster healthy youth.

    Schools have a singular ability to foster meaningful change. As the heart of the community, schools can expand wellness for all — and they don’t have to do it alone! Partners can help.

    Each community is unique. From cities to rural towns, Oregon has beautifully-unique communities. We support them all, with a personalized approach. No two schools are the same — and that’s the way their programming and offerings should be.

    Youth are our most knowledgeable guides. Nobody understands the challenges (and joys!) of youth better than youth themselves. That’s why we center youth in all of our work, and why the work has been so effective.

    We have nothing without equity. A community's health and wellness cannot be complete without school services which are designed using targeted universalism, whereby addressing the needs of the most vulnerable students ultimately benefits the entire population.

    Healthy students succeed (in school, and beyond). Healthier students are better learners. Students who reported better physical, mental, and emotional health had higher grades and test scores than their less healthy peers. (Source: Journal of School Health)
