Wlnsvey has a passion for advocacy for social justice and equitable outcomes. Wlnsvey is the daughter of immigrants. She grew up in rural Oregon and has been proud to make Washington County her home since 2013. She has extensive community organizing experience, has worked in politics and on Healthcare, Housing, and Labor policy, and has served on nonprofit boards. In her free time she enjoys hiking, finding new food spots, drinking boba, and hanging out with her dog and cats!

Jessica has a passion for non-profit management work, and has provided operations support and management for several Oregon non-profit groups. She also has several years experience in Government Relations for Human Services, Health Care and Housing non-profits. She is committed to creating policies and procedures that best serve Oregon and create healthy, thriving communities and schools. In her free time Jessica can be found spending time with friends and family playing games, enjoying community and exploring the beautiful outdoors.

Asia is passionate about health equity, community organizing, and advocating with historically marginalized communities. With being born and raised in Southwest Portland and attending a PWI for college, she grew up in majority white dominant spaces while internally navigating her Asian American identity and she hopes to support others in finding their sense of belonging and strength. With her previous experience in nonprofits, she loves that in her role at OSBHA, she has the opportunity to work with youth in voicing their health needs and learn from them what their priorities are in bettering their wellness. During her free time, Asia loves cooking, visiting her local farmers market, and jamming out to K-pop.

Maureen Hinman (she/her)

Maureen has been an advocate for school health services with the Oregon School-Based Health Alliance for the last nine years and has worked in public health for two decades. Prior to her work with OSBHA, Maureen worked in the Oregon Public Health Division doing program, policy, and operations work, provided health education internationally, and was the administrator of a youth-focused safety net clinic. With OSBHA she has worked with school health providers, school districts, and community partners to support the development of systems of school health supports for students. She has also overseen OSBHA’s policy initiatives, increasing legislative funding to double the number of school-based health centers, and leading development of legislation and technical assistance for Oregon’s trauma informed schools pilot projects.

Hannah is passionate about community organizing to amplify marginalized voices. She is originally from Ohio, where she started her career in local public health, before moving to Oregon where she found her calling for school health services. Hannah has experience working with multidisciplinary teams to implement health education programming in communities and schools. She strongly believes in youth-adult partnerships to shape policies and systems that support vulnerable populations. Hannah loves building relationships and learning from others. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, hanging out with her cats, and being in nature.

Patti is passionate about fostering community connections and empowering youth involvement. She moved to Oregon with her family at age twelve, an experience that shaped her career and gave her a bilingual, bicultural, and equity-centered perspective. With over 15 years of experience in community building, youth engagement, and program development, Patti is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the communities she serves. In her free time, she is an outdoor enthusiast, plant collector, and cat lover, with a deep curiosity about people and cultures.

Jeremiah Rigsby (he/him)

Jeremiah Rigsby is the Chief of Staff at CareOregon. Jeremiah moved to Oregon in 2011 to attend Lewis and Clark Law School. Before moving to Oregon, Jeremiah was a congressional aide to US Congressman Henry Cuellar (2006-2009) and US Congressman Kurt Schrader (2009-2011). During his time on the Hill, Jeremiah worked on a number of policy issues, but focused on health care policy through the development and passage of the Affordable Care Act. After completing law school, Jeremiah joined CareOregon to help develop and advocate for Medicaid and Medicare policy.

Keevin is a full scope family physician who daily sees the impact of education on physical and emotional well being. He wants to make prevention of chronic illness part of a life well lived. The more our places of learning can also be places of wellness the better we will all be. He’s excited to be part of the school-based health center movement and to be around passionate and caring people who all want the best for our young learners.

Bill Thomas (he/him)

Bill joined the Board in 2009 when he was Director of the Washington County Commission on Children and Families. In that role, he was passionate about creating access to affordable primary and mental health care for children and youth. Before he retired in 2017, Bill was the primary instigator for developing and ensuring stable funding for five new School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) that covered every school district in Washington County. As a result of this work, all six Washington County SBHCs are still operating today.

Kasi Woidyla (she/her)

Kasi is the Director of Communications, Advocacy & Government Policy for Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, with responsibility for all communications, advocacy, and government relations and policy for the organization’s 18 locations across Washington and Yamhill counties.
Previously at Virginia Garcia, she served as the Public Relations Officer for the Foundation, leading the marketing, strategy, public relations and media relations, for the Foundation’s fundraising and events.
Prior to joining Virginia Garcia in 2016, Kasi served as the Marketing and Development Director for the Oregon International Air Show, helping to grow the local annual event into the largest civilian show on the West Coast. The Air Show saw more than 100,000 people in 2½ days and raised more than $1.5M in support of local charities.
Kasi also serves on several community boards and advisory councils, ensuring the voices of those often marginalized are heard and included in decision-making processes.

Given her passion for systems-level change as a means for mitigating how health barriers to learning affect students’ ability to attend / participate in school, Kelly joined the OSBHA Board in July 2022. She works at CareOregon as an Evaluation Analyst, and is also Affiliate Faculty with the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. In addition, she serves on Oregon’s School Medicaid Advisory Committee to shape recommendations for work surrounding statewide school Medicaid efforts. Kelly also serves on AcademyHealth’s Child Health Services Research Interest Group Advisory Committee, and leads a community of practice to provide a learning and networking space for researchers from around the country. Most of her 20+ year career has been spent in nonprofits, both as staff and as a Board member. She was born and raised in Portland, and when not spending time with her three rescue pups, she revels in all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Sophie is passionate about supporting medically disadvantaged and stigmatized communities, with a special focus on youth and pediatric care. Having lived in Sichuan, Chicago, and now Portland, she actively identifies health challenges within her community and spreads awareness for solutions. A natural performer, Sophie began dancing at the age of 3 and continues to embrace her love for music and dance. She looks forward to building new connections and learning from others as she continues her advocate journey!

Cathy was drawn to sales/marketing after completing her studies at Portland State University. Her career started with Weyerhauser where she was fortunate to see the US through many trade shows and conventions. A chance encounter with a nonprofit executive provided a new endeavor into fundraising and she never looked back! Thirty-four years later, after working for, and leading, many local nonprofits, she retired in 2020. In her spare time, she enjoys participating with the One More Time Again Marching Band and is still passionate about raising funds for favorite nonprofit organizations.

Nicole is a Project Manager, Multnomah County Community and Adolescent Health team with a passion for spreading accurate health and life information to youth to ensure they have a full toolbox of knowledge going into adulthood. She learned about public/community health accidently while working at YMCA in La Crosse Wisconsin during an ice breaker activity with a co-worker and her path has been clear ever since. When not working or being a board member she is enjoying all the amazing things the PNW has to offer with her husband, reads and lounges with her dogs, gardens, nerds out on Doctor Who (primarily new Who), listens to podcasts for hours, and is currently building a whole human being - ETA December 2024.

Katie joined the Board in December 2023, after serving as a Student Health Advocate with OSBHA in 2022. She is most interested in promoting health equity and expanding access to healthcare. She views working with OSBHA as an important part of accomplishing this goal, and contributing to forward change in health accessibility and advocacy. In her spare time, Katie enjoys exploring local restaurants and walking with her dog.

Peyton joined the board of the Oregon School-Based Health Alliance (OSBHA) in 2022 to advance their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in healthcare. As a low-income, first-generation immigrant from Vietnam, Peyton's personal experiences drive their passion for creating equitable access to healthcare and education for underserved communities. With an MBA, MHA, and a BA in Business Administration and Public Health, Peyton has held roles at the CDC Foundation and Public Health Institute, focusing on public health, DEI, and community outreach. In their role at OSBHA, Peyton is dedicated to using their skills and experience to support initiatives that promote health and well-being across communities.

Chloe has been with OSBHA since 2021 in various capacities. She is honored to serve as the Board Secretary. Chloe is passionate about issues facing young people and health equity. She resides in rural Southern Oregon and offers a rural perspective to the work she does. She works with a variety of other community organizations and has multiple years of experience. Chloe is currently pursuing a Communications and Political Science degree and hopes to continue working in legislative advocacy and grassroots organizing.

Andrea Vega-Zamora (she/her/ella)

Andrea is a first-generation college student at Portland State University majoring in Child, Youth, and Family Studies with a minor in Chicanx/Latinx studies. Andrea advocates for those facing language barriers. As a bilingual individual, she aims to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels empowered to take charge of their own health and well-being.
Andrea has actively participated in her Latine community at PSU by mentoring first-generation Latine students through a program called GANAS: Gaining Access and Networking for Academic Success. She began as a mentee in the PSU program and has been a mentor for two consecutive years. Andrea is currently serving as the lead mentor for the 2024-2025 academic year. She enjoys going to the gym and trying new boba shops in her free time.

Joshua is a soon-to-be graduate of Portland State University. He is completing his undergraduate degree in Public Health with an interest in health promotion. Joshua is an autistic, biracial, and gay individual. His intersectional identities are a driving force for his advocacy. This makes him passionate about learning how to reduce disparities and barriers that make it difficult for marginalized communities to access healthcare. In Joshua’s free time, he enjoys reading comic books and queer romance novels, playing video games, crocheting, and watching horror movies.

Luong Nguyen is a current high school Junior hoping to study Economics in college. He is excited to continue his work in policy with OSBHA. As a big community advocate, he strives to do the best that he can to better the Gresham community, and to help his fellow peers succeed. Luong’s work in Policy includes organizing lobby days, speaking with house representatives and state senators, and testifying on behalf of senate bills and house bills. In his free time, he enjoys going on long runs, and making new friends across the state.

Veronica is a current sophomore at Oregon State University, on the pre-med track with a psychology major and business and chemistry minors. She’s currently conducting research on the impact of racial bias in healthcare, and competes in speech and debate at the collegiate level. As a future healthcare professional, Veronica is excited to advocate for the passing of legislation that will help underserved communities, which she is passionate about. She is Ojibwe and Romanian, and is passionate about both of her cultures. In Veronica’s free time, she enjoys snowboarding, learning languages, swimming, and hiking.

Anandi has a passion for advocating for teen's mental health and health equity. Living in Portland for the majority of her life, what drives her is seeing how the wellbeing of marginalized youth is majorly overlooked and disregarded, which stops many from succeeding because they aren't getting the guidance or help they deserve. Anandi enjoys giving back to the community, as she previously interned with Lents Youth Initiative, working with other teens on projects to help their neighborhood. In her free time she loves to bake, watch k-dramas, and go thrifting.

Claire is a passionate advocate for her community and their welfare. After witnessing firsthand the struggles of countless individuals around her and how support networks designed to assist them could be difficult to find and even harder to access, she took it upon herself to try and help those around her navigate the system. Now at OSBHA she is hoping to help change the systems that lead to such issues in the first place. When not helping her community, she is often writing poetry, blacksmithing, or more often reading a book with a warm cup of coffee.

D is always ready to advocate. Whether it be for healthcare access, comprehensive health curriculum, or various other causes, D is committed to engaging in meaningful civic action. His passion for outreach has lead him to become a president of his school's GSA. On a weekend, you might find D rollerblading on one of Central Oregon's scenic trails, reading up on the Latin language in his local library, or competing at a Speech and Debate tournament!

Ethan hopes to promote access to healthcare, especially among underserved communities such as youths. SHA has allowed him to further this goal alongside many like minded peers. Outside of SHA, Ethan volunteers for YouthLine to directly aid youths in need of mental health support. He is passionate about math, science, and the arts in all aspects of his life. Ria is an introvert, she likes crocheting, knitting, and painting. She joins SHA because she wants to develop her English. Her family moved to the U.S. in 2023 and she started to learn and adapt new culture from that. She is interested in the medical field, such as being a psychiatrist and that is also another reason she joins the SHA program. She hopes that she will have a great time volunteering at SHA.

Saanvi is a passionate individual who aims to bridge the gap between marginalized communities and quality healthcare. As an aspiring healthcare professional, she believes that healthcare is more than treating patients, but also encompasses advocating for equitable access and patient empowerment. As a part of the SHA program, Saanvi is eager to deepen her advocacy skills and explore their intersection with the complexities of healthcare. Beyond OSBHA, she’s involved with HOSA, the Red Cross, and Speech and Debate. A boba enthusiast and baker, she also enjoys reading, binging shows, and playing the piano in her free time.
